In Topic at the moment, we are learning all about the chronology of significant events that had major impacts on the  human evolution and the development of Earth.  This learning is followed on by our science unit where we are learning about evolution and inheritance. 

Maths

In maths, we  will cover  ratio which shows the relationship between two values and describe how one is related to another. We will start by making simple comparisons between two different quantities, followed by links to fractions and learning to calculate ratios using scale factors.

English

In English at the moment, our focus is on persuasive writing. We are analysing  our model text to learn from its vocabulary and structure. At the end of the unit, we will produce our own chocolate menu which will persuade our readers to want to buy our chocolates. 

Reading

Please ensure your child reads every day. Children should have a balanced reading diet incorporating a range of different text types.

Maths

Every day, your child will need to complete arithmetic questions and 10 minutes on Times Table Rockstars.

PE kits

Please bring PE kits in on Monday and take them home again on Friday to wash at the weekend. Please note children should not arrive to school in their PE kit on PE days anymore.

Water bottles

Please bring water bottles in daily.
