This means that consent should be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous by way of a request presented in clear and plain language

Freedom of information (FOI) requests are for non-personal data, while Subject Access Requests (SARs) are for access to personal information. Some information may be exempt from disclosure, such as personal information, legal professional privilege, or information already publicly accessible. Schools are obligated to provide advice and assistance to those making FOI requests. FOI requests must be made in writing and can be made by anyone, regardless of age. Schools have 20 working days to respond to the request, confirming whether the information is held.
