How it works:
Applying for the role:
Pupils will write a letter of application and give it to the class teacher.
Interview process:
Children will receive an interview to determine their rationale for wanting the job and their readiness for the role.
Training:
Children will be provided with training before commencing their role by the senior leadership team.
Job commitments:
Children will be expected to carry out their role for a minimum of 2 days per week.
Who is eligible for the role:
Year 6 pupils will carry out the role.
Uniform:
High viz jackets which are different colour to the staff team.
How long does the job last?
For the rest of the school year.
How many shifts do I have to do?
A minimum of 1 per week.
Job Description
Equipment:
Move around the playground/field (when appropriate) to ensure children are using the equipment safely and respectfully.
Move around the playground/ field (when appropriate) to ensure children are sharing the equipment fairly.
Ensure all equipment is put away calmly and respectfully at the end of the day
Behaviour:
Move around the playground/field (when appropriate) to observe behaviours and interactions.
Identify any behaviour which goes against the school rules and take appropriate action.
Monitoring transition including line up and from the dinner hall to the playground.
Communication:
Communicate thoughts and opinions clearly in a calm, reasonable manner.
Communicate with children of all ages and the staff team when appropriate.
Relationships:
To treat all pupils fairly and respectfully regardless of friendship/ siblings.
Uniform:
To wear the allocated high viz jacket provided at all times when on shift.
Quiet area:
Help to support the implementation of quiet area.
Hall
Supporting safe and respectful eating and tidying.
