Bewick Bridge Community Primary School
THE SCHOOL'S VISION
''Our school is a nurturing place where everyone enjoys being. It is a place where staff and pupils respect and value themselves and others; aim to be the best they can be; actively engage in exploration and see challenge as a chance to grow.”
Welcome to Bewick Bridge
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Bewick Bridge Community Primary School. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our pupils and the quality education we strive to deliver.
Being the Headteacher of Bewick Bridge Community Primary School gives me great pleasure and pride.
Sadly visits are not possible at the moment, but if you would like to know more about our school, please do make contact via the school office.
Dear Prospective Parents,
At this time of year we would usually be throwing open our doors and arranging Reception Open Days, to enable you to make an informed decision on which school would best suit your child. Unfortunately, we are unable to do this at present. I hope the video and Virtual Tour below will give you an insight into our school and what we have to offer your child. Please be aware that some of the images in the virtual tour show how we have had to adapt to the current situation and would not be in place normally.
Online applications should be made via this link by 15th January 2021.
If you have any queries, or would like to discuss your child's admission to Bewick Bridge, please call the school office and arrange a telephone appointment with me.
To ensure the safety of all our children and staff we ask all parents to model safe social distancing at all times. Please use the one way systems and avoid blocking the gates at drop-off/collection. Where possible, please communicate with the school via telephone or email. If you need to visit the office, please wear a mask/face covering and ensure only one person enters the lobby at a time. Parents/carers should only come into school if they have made an appointment. For more information, please risk assessment below.
If your child is unwell and you are not sure what to do, please read the guidance below.
We will continue to use Google Classroom and Tapestry for home learning in this period of school closure. Please see below for some useful steps and advice for accessing Google Classroom and completing assignments. If you have any concerns or queries, please email your class teacher. In Addition, this page gives plenty more ideas for activities to undertake with your children at home.
Sadly, due to the restrictions under Covid, our Year 6 weren't able to do their end of year production for their parents/carers. With clever filming and social distancing they were able to have their performance recorded. Thank you to Caitlin and the Young People's Puppet Theatre. https://youtu.be/OVKLTqoO9b4
